A France–Japan dialogue on AI governance — yugyo at Thursday Gathering #72

On June 11, 2026, yugyo CEO Ryo Osera joined a France–Japan conversation at Venture Café Fukuoka's Thursday Gathering #72, held at the ONE FUKUOKA BUILDING Sky Lounge.

The session — "Governing AI, Staying Human: A France–Japan conversation on regulation and what intelligence can't replace" — was co-hosted by Ekohe Japan and La French Tech Tokyo. Alongside Shun Ono (Director, Fukuoka City Global Business Support) and Dr. Alice Ballé (Scientific Director, Tsunagaru), Osera examined how Europe's evolving AI regulations compare with Japan's distinct approach, and what stays uniquely human when founders build, settle, and scale.

The fifty-minute exchange centered on what AI still cannot replace: the relational work, the community presence, the slow trust that grounds new ventures. Fukuoka is becoming a place where these conversations happen across borders.
