Why the world's nomads choose Fukuoka — Ryo Osera speaks at Nashite Fukuoka Vol.4 (July 28)

On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 18:00 to 20:00, Ryo Osera, Representative Director and CEO of yugyo inc., joins the talk event "Why Do People Who Have Lived Abroad Gather in Fukuoka? Vol.4 — Global Nomads and the Fukuoka Choice" as guest speaker, held at Engineer Cafe in Tenjin, Fukuoka.

In Japan, "living abroad" has long described people who left the country and eventually came back. Today, digital nomads who are not Japanese are choosing Fukuoka directly, without passing through anywhere else first. Drawing on the ground-level experience of running Colive Fukuoka and bringing digital nomads to the city, Osera puts into words why the world's nomads choose Fukuoka — and what still stands in their way.

The talk is followed by a workshop. Engineers, digital nomads, and specialists from a range of fields form mixed teams, start from the hopes and doubts the talk raises, define an agenda of their own, and build it into concrete project and product ideas — including hands-on mock-ups made with generative AI. An informal after-party follows from around 20:30.
