yugyo CEO Ryo Osera takes the stage at Toranomon Kokokusai 2026 — on advertising, new business, and eight years since leaving Dentsu

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00pm, Ryo Osera, CEO of yugyo inc., takes the stage at the GALLERY STAGE, TOKYO NODE (Toranomon Hills Station Tower), as part of Toranomon Kokokusai 2026 (Toranomon Ad Festival 2026).

The session, titled “Can Advertising Power Be Used for a New Business?”, brings together three creators who each left advertising to build something of their own. Panelists include Toshiyuki Konishi, formerly of Hakuhodo and now founder of the “Hikiniku to Kome” restaurant chain; Yuichiro Kojima, who built a new business during his time at Dentsu, sold it, and now serves as a board member at the sake shop IMADEYA; and Ryo Osera, who co-founded the travel subscription service HafH and now works on attracting digital nomads to Fukuoka.

The invitation came from Kojima, a former colleague from Osera's Dentsu days. Osera shared the following reflection ahead of the session:

It has been almost eight years since I left Dentsu. Yuichiro Kojima, a colleague from my Dentsu days, invited me to this stage and even had an illustration made of me, to talk about "the power of advertising and building a new business," as someone who walked away from Dentsu. I co-founded the travel subscription HafH, and now I am running my second company, quietly into its 4th fiscal year, having built it up to roughly ¥100 million in annual revenue. At Dentsu, I used to think there was more I could do. I used to think that, precisely because it was Dentsu, there were things I should take on. And yet, for reasons I still cannot quite name, there was so much I could not do. I remember that feeling clearly, even now. I am still not sure it is right to say this from a stage, but I hope this becomes a chance to reconnect with many of you.
